Lights!!

Imagine, a diwali when all Indians spend all their "firecracker" budget on diyas and candles and string lights.
Imagine a diwali where the competition is not about who's dad buys the loudest crackers, but about whose mum makes the most beautiful rangoli.
Imagine a diwali when india's seniors and india's animals are not fighting to breathe.
Imagine every dark corner of the street, society, building and home, lit up. A night when no girl has to fear walking through a dark ally.
A diwali when each and every town gifts the joy of light to just one small village.
Now imagine a diwali when india's children come together and resolve to make diwali, truly the festival of lights. A diwali when everyone would step out and admire the lights in every home.
Now imagine that one night of nation wide celebration. . . Celebrating not just our culture, but our future.
That would be the diwali that would make every Indian proud. That would be the diwali when India would be seen shining bright even from space. That would be the diwali that we would be able to call our own.
